The Minnesota Elite rising sophomore team finished its summer on high note by winning six games against two losses at the Notre Dame Sophomore Midwest Shootout. In the opinion of the coaching staff, the boys played their best game of the summer against the Milwaukee Select; our opponent managed fewer than five shots during the game and their two goals were scored while our team was down a defender. Our extra man unit, led by Chris Foster's right-handed cannon, scored two key goals. In the final day of competition, the rising sophomore team was led by goalies Ryan Weitgenant and Tim Dooley. Ryan and Tim made a number of key saves against Team Rhino from Oregon and Team Illinois....

NEWARK, DEL.—Playing before 100 yards of college coaches in beach chairs, under the lights of Delaware Stadium, on the University of Delaware campus, in sweltering heat, you wouldn’t know it was the fifth game of the day for many in the Battle of the Hotbed All-Stars. Not by the alacrity the senior and junior players ran the field in their respective all-star games Tuesday night.
A number of players helped themselves by how they played, and more received some approving nods from the college coaches that lined the far sideline from goal line-to-goal line to see the two games.
Both games were played in two 25-minute halves. And you’d swear these... -

What a fabulous tournament and a true test of strength, skill and teamwork. The boys Gold team was one of 60 teams at the tournament going into the final day undefeated. College coaches were lined up at the games checking out the athletiic talent of the boys. The tournament was awesome and we played some talented teams from across the country with great players. The final day in the playoffs the Gold team lost to the Sting from Long Island who ended up winning the tournament. It was a great battle and tough game but the boys were out of gas and couldn't make it happen. As a coaching staff we couldn't be happier with the outcome and were very impressed with the final result. Seeing the...

The Elite Maroon Team had a great weekend in Denver really showcasing the future of the Minnesota Elite program. The Maroon along with the Gold team were the teams to beat in Denver and other teams couldn't stop talking about the talent coming out of Minnesota. The boys all had a great time and really came together during this trip. We're proud of all the boys on the team and it was great to come to Denver and let everyone out here know that Lacrosse is alive and kicking in Minnesota. Great job Maroon team!!!

The Minnesota Elite Gold Team pulled off a great weekend winning the Denver Tournament. Even though the competition was a little scattered the team still had to pull together in some games to take the tournament in the final game against Trilogy winning 9-4. The greatest game in the tournament was when the Elite Gold was matched up against the Elite Maroon. The Maroon team came out on fire and gave the older boys the game of the weekend. Great job Elite Gold and Maroon!!!

2010 is upon us and the summer is coming up quick. We are currently in the final stages of confirming all of the tournaments that the teams will be participating in this summer. We are proud to announce that with past year tests we have finally decided that the best way for the Elite program to successfully promote Minnesota players was to build this new website.
This site is going to enable coaches from all over the country to log into our site and check out each teams rosters and find all the information they need about each player for recruiting purposes. Each roster will have the functionality and ability to load recruiting videos and players bio information. We feel...
